  • The Bureau of Marine Resources :

    Aquaculture development is mainly carried out by the Ministry of Marine Resources and Development through its Bureau of Marine Resources. The bureau is responsible for administrating the Palau Mariculture Development Center (PMDC) which is well known for its research work on the propagation and culture of giant clams (Tridacna sp. and Hippopus sp.) in the 1980s.
