• Trochus 

  Trochus seed production and reseeding:

  Aspects of research onto trochus have been completed through Vanuatu involvement in the 10 year ACIAR trochus research. This encompassed, seed production, nutrition and reseeding techniques. Priority development will maintain:

- Seed production to meet continuous demand for trochus seeds by communities for reef enhancement purposes

-  Maintain reef reseeding through broodstock caging using adult trochus

- Continue to promote and manage trochus resource as an important fishery for the lively hood of Vanuatu population.
