  • Food fish

Picot-60-jours_sAQUALAGON, in collaboration with the University of New Caledonia has developed a protocol to spawn and rear rabbitfish (Siganus lineatus).

The company will soon be building a commercial size hatchery south of Noumea and an offshore sea cages site for grow out. The products will be sold on the local market and possibly exported.

There is also a willing to develop a high value export fish hatchery in the Northern Province. This hatchery will involve local species of groupers and snapers sold live for the live reef fish food trade.
